This workshop will provide a model for project management. It will cover the governance of a project including the responsibilities of the project sponsor, owner, and project manager. It will cover the establishment of project scope and goals and how to break down a project to establish accurate estimates of time, cost, human resources and other resources. The workshop covers the importance of planning the communication aspect of a project and how to identify and manage risk.

To help participants immediately apply their learning's in the workplace they are asked to bring along a project to work on.

The course will enable participants to:

1. understand the key terms used in project management

2. be familiar with a project management model and project planning phases

3. be familiar with the essential elements of a project plan

4. be familiar with various issues a project administrator must consider.
