A place where asking the question "are you ok?" can really work is in the workplace. As employees, we can all create a culture where people feel confident asking and answering this most important question. Besides our legal responsibility of providing a safe and healthy workplace, these conversations can make a real difference to staff going through a tough time.
The training provided will provide you with the basic skills required to start a conversation about how someone is travelling. Training is based on the R U OK? conversation model.
This course will enable participants to:
1. Overcome fears about asking someone about their wellbeing.
2. Develop skills about starting a meaningful conversation about someone's wellbeing.
3. Learn how to sit and listen without interruption or judgement
4. Encourage professional support.
