The aim of this workshop is to provide staff with the skills to address and manage unconscious bias in decision making processes in the workplace.
This workshop explores the unconscious biases which are inherent to all people, and develops skills and techniques for managing unconscious bias in the workplace. The workshop will provide participants with skill development in inclusive management to develop and maintain a diverse and inclusive culture at UQ.
This program is particularly recommended to all staff who are involved in recruitment and selection, performance management and promotion processes.
This Workshop supports the University's commitment to the SAGE Pilot of the Athena SWAN program.
This course will enable participants to:
1. provide an overview of unconscious bias;
2. identify potential risk areas for unconscious bias in the workplace
3. address and manage unconscious bias with an aim to reducing and removing unconscious
bias in the workplace
4. develop inclusive management skills.
