This course will cover the importance of considering ethical implications when we work with data at UQ. It will also cover what this means for individuals in their day-to-day work.
Hypothetical scenarios will be used to illustrate how to work through assessing potential ethical isssues. Strategies for minimising ethical implications will also be discussed.
This course will enable participants to:
1. Understand how data ethics are relevant to their day-to-day work
2. Understand how to evaluate potential ethical issues and implement strategies to minimise risk
3. Understand appropriate processes and approvals for data collection and access
