Please note: This course is not designed to teach introductory project management. It is expected that those staff recruited in project management roles should already possess the skills and experience to work at their appropriate (recruited) level.
This course is designed for all staff undertaking project work at UQ and covers the relevant policies, procedures, systems and governance applicable to project management at UQ. This course is mandatory for all project professionals.
The course covers the below topics –
• Project Governance and Management Framework (PGMF)
o Principles and Key Requirements
o Roles, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
o The 4 As (Assessment Criteria)
• Project Governance at UQ
o Resources and Support
o Assurance and Monitoring
o Training and Community Engagement
o ProTRAC (UQ’s PPM tool)
o Minimum reporting requirements
Course outcomes –
• Understand the context by which projects/programs are undertaken at UQ
• Gain familiarity with frameworks, templates, governance, reporting and assurance etc.
• Gain exposure to the opportunities for regular professional development activities
