Do you deal with research grants, scholarship grants, donations, consultancy fees, bequests and other external funding sources? Do you struggle to understand the different fund code uses and get confused about who is responsible for what?
Attend this presentation to get an overview of the uses and accounting for the different fund code groups in the Chart of Accounts, and to find out about the process of setting up a project for each type. Find out what support you can access and share your experiences with your finance colleagues.
At the end of this presentation you will be able to:
1. Identify each type of funding and confidently assign fund codes in the general ledger
2. Understand who is responsible for each part of the process from project start to finish and how to account appropriately at each stage.
