This course will focus on how and why academics and professionals should harness the power of social media. The functions of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram will be discussed in detail, with Snapchat mentioned briefly. Participants will use a booklet to develop their social media strategy and will learn about good social media content, potential issues, using analytics and promoting accounts.
There will be an opportunity for participants to create a GIF, shorten a link, and ask questions specific to their needs.
This course does not cover platforms such as Blackboard, Research Gate or LinkedIn.
