This practical course will focus on how and why academics and professionals should use social media to build a profile, boost engagement and share knowledge with the wider community. Twitter, Facebook and Instagram will be the main platforms discussed.
The course will cover UQ's social media guidelines, how to use social media, how to deal with issues, reporting using analytics and how to find content.
This course will enable participants to build their own social media strategy with a focus on:
- creating and managing social media platforms
- Understanding the value and pitfalls of social media
- Reporting on growth using analytics.
This course does not cover platforms such as Blackboard, ResearchGate or LinkedIn.
