This course provides all professional staff with the opportunity to plan the actions you will take to achieve greater fulfilment and higher performance in your current job, and to work towards your future career goals. It assists you to work with your supervisor through the Recognition and Development process in the pursuit of your current and future job satisfaction, including preparing for the annual performance appraisal.
This course is beneficial for staff at any level and any stage of your career. Priority is first given to professional staff who do not supervise others, because all professional staff supervisors must undertake the Recognition and Development course and have the opportunity to become familiar with the Recognition and Development process there.
The greatest benefit of this course comes from the actions that you take as a result of attending - please enrol only if you are committed to taking action to enhance your current role and your future career development as a result of the course.
This course will enable participants to:
1. understand your role in getting the most from the Recognition and Development process
2. reflect on your career so far and begin to set goals for your current role and future career, and the actions you will take to achieve them
3. develop skills to build your relationship with your supervisor and work with them to enhance your performance and capability
4. prepare for your annual appraisal.
