|Start Date||Start - End Time||Venue||Places Taken|
Duration: 18 hours
Coordinator: Ms Jennifer Witheriff
Presenter: Ms Jennifer Witheriff
Leadership is demonstrated at all levels and by both those in formal supervisory positions and others with informal leadership roles. This course will help you to develop your understanding of leadership and your own leadership behaviours. It will also help you build self-awareness, develop stronger relationships with others and strengthen your ability to demonstrate leadership and support your own development.
This course is for staff at HEW levels 5 to 7 who are serious about their learning and are prepared to make changes to the way they work with others.
Action learning is a foundation of this course. You will be required to do 'homework' in between the three sessions. This action learning approach allows you to practice what you learn outside of the training room and reflect upon your successes.
This course will enable participants to:
1. Increase self-awareness of how you demonstrate your leadership capabilities
2. Make the most of feedback and opportunities to learn and develop
3. Build your communication skills to influence, inspire and engage others
4. Develop constructive relationships with the people you work with
5. Create goals and an action plan for your personal and professional development.
