Supervisors at UQ are responsible for creating a healthy and sustainable workplace culture within their teams. Supporting this, UQ is committed to developing an environment that ensures staff, students and visitors are not subjected to behaviours, practices or processes that may constitute discrimination, bullying, vilification or victimisation. This course will support supervisors to understand their obligations under the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Fairwork Act, identify and minimise risks relating to such interpersonal issues, and effectively resolve such issues should they arise.
This course will enable participants to:
1. Minimise risk related to workplace bullying and discrimination
2. Identify and resolve interpersonal issues and grievances
3. Create a healthy and sustainable workplace culture
4. Understand the legislative, case law and policy environment of UQ with regard to interpersonal issues.
