This is your opportunity to improve your basic understanding and awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Also learn about support needs specific to students with ASD in the tertiary environment as well as how staff can support students diagnosed with Autism.
This course will enable participants to:
1. Build knowledge and understanding of ASD in a tertiary education context:
-Transition to university
-How could ASD affect study
2. Identify strategies to support students with ASD
-Universal Design for Learning and ASD
-How can Course Coordinators support students with ASD
-Student Services support for students with ASD.
