The Managing Unconscious Bias Train-the-Trainer session provides facilitators with the required knowledge and skills to deliver the face-to-face component of the Managing Unconscious Bias Training Program.
The session will entail:
• general facilitation training;
• an overview of the face-face-face workshop format (to be delivered in local areas);
• enhanced understanding of unconscious bias considerations; and
• workshop slides, handouts, and a facilitator guide.
The aim of these sessions is not to train facilitators to become unconscious bias experts, but rather to be able to facilitate discussion around feasible strategies to mitigate bias and engage in inclusive workplace practices.
If you are interested in facilitating, you will need to first enrol in UQ Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Training - and within this is the Managing Unconscious Bias modules - via Blackboard and complete the online training modules, and then register to attend a Train-the-Trainer session.
