This course is recommended for any staff member who requires update or advanced access to SI-net.
This course is run centrally.
SI-net is the University's student administration system and is a database storing all aspects of student data (application for admission, enrolment, progression, financial, etc.) online.
Fundamentals is designed to give staff skills and understanding of the student administration system to perform specific SI-net processing functions within their job duties.
Training incorporates theoretical and practical-based learning competencies to ensure participants can apply the trained skills in their actual workplace.
Training attendance is linked to SI-net access so only trained staff have access.
This course will enable participants to:
1. gain an understanding of the structure and organisation of SI-net
2. gain an understanding of basic SI-net terminology and functions, and the ability to apply these in the student administration system
3. log on and off SI-net
4. navigate through the student administration system
5. have the ability to add, update and search for people data, view service indicators and record comments.
