This course will provide attendees with knowledge of musculoskeletal injuries and risk factors associated with manual tasks and the skills to identify, assess and control their musculoskeletal injury risk.
This course runs over two non-consecutive dates listed below:
Gatton - 8 Aug 17 - 10am to 12pm & 21 Aug 17 - 10am to 11am - Continuing Education Centre building no. 8164
This course will enable participants to:
1. Understand their responsibilities under the Hazardous Manual Tasks Code of Practice.
2. Identify and assess musculoskeletal injury risk factors for manual tasks using participative approaches.
3. Implement control measures to minimize risk of injury using hierarchy of controls.
4. Enable workgroup leaders to implement the Participative Ergonomics for Manual Tasks tool within their workgroups.
