In this course, you will develop an understanding of how to incorporate active learning in a virtual classroom environment using Zoom, UQ's virtual classroom/meeting system. Participants will familiarise themselves with the use of chat, reactions, polling and breakout rooms for communication with students. Participants will also learn how to facilitate a collaborative active learning activity using Padlet.
This course will enable participants to:
1. Understand the benefits active learning in a virtual classroom.
2. Facilitate a collaborative active learning activity using Padlet.
3. Use chat, reactions, polling and breakout rooms.
Please note that this workshop builds on the content covered in the Virtual Classroom (Zoom) workshop and prior knowledge of Zoom is assumed.
